Pedestrian Targeted in Broad Daylight Shooting Attack

A pedestrian was the target of a drive-by shooting in broad daylight Tuesday morning, police said.

Lt. John Luna said that at 11:53 a.m. the victim, an unknown black man, was walking near Community Arms housing complex on Orange Grove Boulevard near Summit Avenue when the occupants of a car fired several gunshots at him.

Officers responding to a call of “shots fired” could not find the victim, who was apparently uninjured in the attack.

“Officers located some evidence near the crime scene indicated a shooting had occurred,” Luna said.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a black Acura Integra occupiedby two black men, he said.

The investigation is ongoing.
