A serial armed robber who repeatedly struck Pasadena sandwich and pizza shops armed with a handgun has been arrested after a robbery in Temple City led to a vehicle description traced to a Pasadena man, police said.

The man, Terry Wilson, 21, of Pasadena, is now in custody after officers spotted him and his vehicle in the area of Colorado Blvd. at Daisy Avenue on Sunday. He allegedly robbed three Subway restaurants in Pasadena last month, and a Domino’s Pizza restaurant on Thursday night, police said.

Lt. Pete Hettema, Watch Commander, said information from the Temple City Sheriff’s Station assisted Pasadena police officers in identifying the suspect’s vehicle, and that led to the suspect’s arrest on Sunday, February 5.

Pasadena police were notified Sunday a suspect of a similar description in the Subway and Domino’s pizza robberies in Pasadena had also committed a robbery in Temple City, Hettema said.

“[Sheriff’s deputies were] able to corroborate a suspect vehicle description as well as a partial plate. On Sunday, February 5, a Pasadena police officer conducting a follow up was able to identify the suspect as well as the vehicle he was driving,” Hettema said. “While searching for the suspect, officers located the vehicle in the area of Colorado and Daisy. They conducted a surveillance of the vehicle, and while doing so, the suspect walked to the car. The suspect was detained without incident.”

Hettema added that after positive identification by a witness, Wilson was arrested for armed robbery and booked at the Pasadena City Jail.

“It’s an ongoing investigation,” Hettema said.

One of the Subway restaurant robberies took place on January 27 in the 3000 block of E. Colorado Blvd. The next night, two incidents occurred, first at a Subway in the 2300 block of E. Colorado and another one in the 1700 block of E. Washington Blvd. The suspect in these three incidents was described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt and armed with a handgun.

On Thursday, February 2, a Domino’s Pizza restaurant in the 1900 block of E. Colorado Blvd. was robbed by a suspect fitting the same description.
