Pasadena police officers were called to another “shots fired” incident on North Summit Avenue between Mountain Street and Hammond Street Saturday night and found expended shell casings, but no strikes or victims.

Lt. William Grisafe said the incident took place in the 1100 block of Summit at around 11 p.m. No further information was available.

The report comes in the wake of a May 24 shooting of a young man in the same stretch of Summit Avenue which left him in critical condition.

In that earlier shooting witnesses claim they heard a barrage of as many as 20 gunshots. The victim was found lying in the street by arriving officers, who immediately provided medical aid.

That case remains under investigation.
