Pasadena police detectives today said they are now seeking a fifth suspect in the January double murders of two Pasadena men shot to death during a street vigil in the 100 block of West Claremont Street.
The detectives also released a new sketch of one of the suspects, which joins an earlier sketch of another suspect released on March 23 and a suspect vehicle identification released two weeks ago.
Authorities said they continue to make progress as tips and information come in from the public.
Pasadenans Antione Sutphen and Ormoni Duncan, both 24, were killed during a January 6 street vigil for the victim of a homicide which had taken place about a week earlier.
According to witnesses, just before midnight a gunman in a car now known to be a brown 2003 Buick sprayed the mourners with gunfire, striking four victims. Sutphen and Ormani died, the other victims, a 24-year-old woman who was critically injured and a 25-year-old man who suffered moderate wounds, were transported to a local hospital.
Police now say that four of the suspects are described as black and one as Hispanic.
The suspect above at left is said to be approximately 25 to 30 years old, standing 5’9” to 5’11” tall, and weighs between 210 to 220 lbs. The suspect pictured above at right is described as approximately 18 to 22 years old, being 6’0” to 6’2” tall, and weighs from 210 to 220 lbs.
Not pictured are the three other suspects; one is described as a black man approximately 22 to 26 years old, standing 5’10” to 6’0” tall, and weighing 275-310 lbs., another as being a black man approximately 33 to 35 years old, standing 5’10” to 5’11” tall and weighing 185 to 200 lbs.
Newly identified is a fifth suspect, described by police as a Latino approximately 25 to 30 years old, who stands 5’11” to 6’01” tall and weights.
