Pasadena Police spotted a car of teens run a red light at Lake Avenue and Walnut Street around 4:30 a.m Friday morning. When they attempted to stop the car, the teens took off.

Lt. William Grisafe reported the car had been taken from the father one of the group, who were joyriding around Pasadena when police spotted them. He said, “They were seen driving through an intersection at a high rate of speed, (they went) through a red signal, through a red light, and they failed to yield to the emergency vehicle as required.”

The car continued into the city of San Marino. San Marino police then helped Pasadena police stop the vehicle.

Two girls and two boys were arrested on suspicion of car theft at the scene.

Three of the teens are 15-years-old, and one is 16-years-old.

Lt. William Grisafe said the teens were issued a citation and released to the custody of their parents.
