Shooting Video

This video was shot by a person who passed by the scene shortly after the shooting.

Pasadena Police Lt. Jesse Carrillo said a woman who was shot and wounded on Saturday night in the area of North Los Robles Avenue and Washington Boulevard might not have been the intended target of the shooter.

The woman, a 39-year-old Las Vegas resident, was shot while in the 1300 block of North Robles Avenue at about 10 p.m. Saturday.

Although multiple rounds were fired — witnesses said they heard 10 to 12 shots — the victim is believed to have been struck only once. One woman who said the victim was found in her driveway by police said that officers found at least one bullet hole in her home.

The rounds were fired near a gathering of people. Detectives do not know if the victim was the intended target or was just a bystander.

Lt. Carrillo corrected reports regarding the woman’s condition, saying it is critical, and not “serious,” as earlier believed.

Pasadena police detectives are canvassing the neighboorhood today hoping to find witnesses or video camera footage in order to gather suspect information.

There is no known motive for the shooting.
