Pasadena police today released a sketch of one of two armed suspects allegedly involved in a vicious home invasion robbery last Sunday, June 17th during which a 25-year-old Pasadena man was repeatedly stabbed and slashed with a knife and various items were stolen from his home.

The break-in and attack occurred at about 1:56 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Villa Street.

The injured victim was transported to a local hospital after arriving officers found him in his home bleeding profusely from multiple wounds. The victim remains in a local hospital in stable condition for treatment of the injuries, police said.

The victim had arrived home with his girlfriend about 90 minutes before the attack after they both completed their work shifts at different restaurants, Lt. William Grisafe said the morning of the incident.

The 24-year-old woman went to bed while the man stayed up late to complete a homework assignment on his computer, Grisafe said. The woman soon was awakened by a commotion in the living room area.

Grisafe said the woman saw a man with a handgun dressed in black and wearing a bandana across his face attacking her boyfriend.

The robber was demanding money and valuables. At one point, the suspect struck her boyfriend in the head with the butt of the gun and fled.

Later, during the medical treatment of his numerous lacerations, the man told authorities that there had in fact been two attackers, Grisafe said. Each robber was armed with a handgun and one also had a knife, the man said.

The robbers reportedly stole cellphones, a computer, a purse, and cash before fleeing.

The woman was not injured.

The suspect seen in the sketch is described as a male Black, 19 to 24 years of age, 5’11 in height with a medium build. The suspect was wearing dark clothing.
