Region 63 Pasadena Foothills Libertarian Party Announces Ballot Initiative Positions

The Region 63 Foothills Libertarian Party has announced its official ballot initiative positions for the California June 5, 2018 primary election.

Proposition 68 – Authorizes bonds funding parks, natural resources protection, climate adaptation, water quality and supply, and flood protection
Opposed.
Proposition 69 – Requires that certain new transportation revenues be used for transportation purposes.
Opposed.
Proposition 70 – Requires legislative supermajority vote approving use of cap-and-trade reserve fund.
Opposed.
Proposition 71 – Sets effective date for ballot measures.
Opposed.
Proposition 72 – Permits legislature to exclude newly constructed rain-capture systems from property-tax reassessment requirement.
Endorsed.

“We’re just a few weeks away from the election and voters are asking for guidance on the ballot initiatives,” said Angela McArdle, Chair of the Region 63 Libertarian Party of California, and Secretary of the state party. “I hope Californians will cast their votes in a way that gives people more personal and economic freedom.”
