Responding to Reports of a “Woman on Fire,” Rescue Units Find Burned Woman at Busy Shopping Center

The Pasadena Fire Department treated a woman for burns and rushed her to a local hospital after paramedics responded to a report of a “woman on fire” in the Orangewood shopping center across from Huntington Memorial Hospital.

Around 4 p.m. arriving rescue ambulance paramedics found a woman with multiple burn injuries near the Vons Market, 155 West California Boulevard.

The victim was transported to an unknown hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

Her identity has not been released. Authorities have not released any further information about what led to the woman’s injuries.

The case is under investigation by Fire Department investigators.
