The sixth annual San Marino Motor Classic returned to Lacy Park in San Marino on Sunday, June 12, with an impressive array of classic, vintage and rare automobiles. The 300 plus cars displayed at the year’s Concours-level car exhibition attracted around 7,000 spectators.

A 1930 Rolls Royce Towncar owned by Jack and Hellen Nethercutt took home the pre-war “Best in Show” award. Post-war “Best in Show” was awarded to a 1956 Mercedes Benz 300Sc Coupe owned by Vin and Erika DiBona.

This year’s event, which is entirely organized and managed by volunteers, raised $250,000 for local charities-– the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA and the Rotary Club of San Marino. Proceeds from the “A Symphony of Cars: The USC Trojan Marching Band in Concert” gala benefited the USC Trojan Marching Band.

“This was our best year yet,” says Aaron Weiss, chairman of the event. “It would be impossible to produce a show of this magnitude without the community’s support. I cannot thank our dedicated volunteers, sponsors and entrants enough.”

Mark your calendars: next year’s show is set for Sunday, June 11, 2017. For the full list of winners, visit:
