The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 721, United Teachers of Pasadena, and the National Women’s Political Caucus of Greater Pasadena, has endorsed Jacque Robinson to become the next Mayor of the City of Pasadena.

SEIU 721 represents county and city employees across Southern California, including Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside counties and numerous cities in the region, as well as employees of special districts and publicly-funded non-profits such as health clinics and janitors. City of Pasadena members are sanitation employees.

“I am honored to have the endorsement and support of the hard working men and women who keep our streets and neighborhoods clean. It is important that city hall recognizes the importance and value of the work completed everyday by all of our employee groups. Respect and a great working relationship with our employees is the key to making sure city services are the best quality for our residents and members of the public.”
“SEIU 721 looks forward to helping elect Jacque,” said Bob Schoonover, President of SEIU local 721. “Jacque has been our partner in City Hall and we know that we can count on her to stand up for quality jobs and public services.”

“Jacque Robinson is the best candidate with a proven track record of hands on support of the teachers and students of our Pasadena public schools,” says United Teachers of Pasadena President Alvin Nash. “She has demonstrated her ability to successfully resolve neighborhood issues that affect our schools and recognizes the importance of partnering with teachers, parents, students, and residents to make our city better. As a graduate of PUSD, her election as Mayor of this great city will give hope to so many of our students who are where she once sat. We urge residents to cast their vote for Jacque Robinson.”

Robinson also earned the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party last week.
