Sheraton Pasadena General Manager Carlos Mendoza welcomed more than one hundred friends and guests Wednesday evening, as the hotel officially dedicated its two-year multi-million dollar renovation.

According to Mendoza, the comprehensive refurbishment project completed by Gensler Design and Luna Construction involved revamping of the entire 311-room hotel, including all guest rooms and suites, all common areas, the restaurant, meeting space, and porte cochère.

Spaces were all completely redone with new furniture, carpeting, wall coverings, lighting, and case goods. The design aesthetic creates a relaxed ambiance with comfortable furnishings in a soft color palette of blues and grays with orange accents.

The hotel’s Restaurant Soleil has also seen a total makeover, with a focus on natural, fresh cuisine,  providing hotel guests and local Pasadena residents with an opportunity to enjoy fresh, organic produce, cage-free eggs, pressed olive oil, non-GMO menu items, free range chicken, and grass-fed beef, according to the hotel’s announcement.

The entirely redesigned menu is now under the direction of the hotel’s new Executive Chef Frank Gutierrez, who was previously Executive Sous Chef.

The Sheraton Pasadena is directly adjacent to the Pasadena Convention Center and within walking distance of The Paseo and bustling Colorado Boulevard. The property also features complimentary shuttle service within a three-mile radius to provide guests with easy access to Pasadena’s historic landmarks and attractions including the Rose Bowl, Norton Simon Museum and The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. The property is owned by Urban Commons.
