The 48th Sierra Madre Public Library Wine and Cuisine Tasting Benefit, a major fund-raising event, was attended by nearly 400 people. This annual event, sponsored by the Friends of the Sierra Madre Public Library, was held on February 16th at Alverno’s historic Villa del Sol d’Oro in Sierra Madre.

Seventeen restaurants and 26 wineries participated by offering creative food, wine and desserts. Flower arrangements were donated by local florists: Ixora Floral Studios, Jacob Maarse, Leonora Moss, and Nobbe’s Florist. Arcadia Party Rentals sponsored all the heaters for the Villa. Rusnak Auto Group provided three of their latest model Audi cars to display for guests entering the Villa.

Students from Sierra Madre Middle School, Pasadena High School and Alverno High School volunteered their time to the event. Steve Silverman, long-time member and performer at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA provided lively entertainment through the evening.
