South Pasadena Little League Plans All-Out 60th Anniversary Reunion

Published: Monday, January 23, 2012 | 6:12 AM

Preparations are under way for the March 10 celebration of 60 years of South Pasadena Little League and the 2012 Opening Day Ceremonies.

The SPLL 60th Grand Reunion will be celebrated at the Arroyo Seco Park with a hometown carnival, with games and rides, an All-Alumni Photo, many special guests, raffle drawing, a Homerun Derby and lots of fun.

South Pasadena Little League invites all past and present players to join in the celebration. Bring the entire family to this very special opening day, and then enjoy the nostalgia of carnival games and rides, food from local restaurants and an opportunity to reunite with SPLL friends, organizers say.

Residents are being asked to spread the word to friends and family that SPLL is seeking former players’ photos, memorabilia and stories.  There will be a grand prize for the oldest player in attendance. Past and present players are invited to participate in the All-Alumni panoramic photo.

On March 10, the Opening Day Ceremonies will begin at 9:00 a.m., with a Carnival to follow from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the Homerun Derby after that.
