Pasadena police officers arrested a 21-year-old South Pasadena resident after he was allegedly caught in the act of carrying a large flat screen television out of a restaurant near Pasadena Police headquarters in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.
The commercial burglary incident occurred around 4:39 a.m. outside Eden Garden Bar and Grill, located in the 100 block of East Holly Street.
Pasadena police Lt. Mark Goodman said an officer was on patrol in the area when he saw the suspect running across Holly Street carrying a large television.
“The officer thought this was a little bit suspicious and detained the subject for investigation,” Goodman said. “Investigation revealed that the suspect had burglarized the restaurant and was in the process of stealing the television when he was seen by the police officer.”
Goodman said the suspect, identified as Henry O’Connor-Rojas, 21, of South Pasadena, was arrested without incident for commercial burglary and was booked at the Pasadena City Jail.
