South Pasadena Police Investigate Residential Burglaries and Sexual Assaults

Published on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 | 3:34 pm

The South Pasadena Police Department is currently investigating five residential burglaries and three sexual assaults that occurred starting about 7:40am this morning. The locations of occurrence at this time are localized in the southern portion of the city. The suspect in several of the cases appears to be related and he was seen armed with a knife in one of the residential burglaries.

During the investigation and out of an abundance of caution, the SPPD requested lockdowns of the South Pasadena Middle and High Schools due to the proximity of some of the locations of occurrence to both schools. Again during the investigations, a knife was located and recovered at the scene of one of the residential burglaries. The lockdowns were lifted at both schools shortly after the knife was located.

The suspect is described as a male African-American, 5’9″-6’2″, 18-30 years of age, light-med complexion, med build, short hair, with lines cut in hair wearing a blue or grey shirt and baggy shorts, possibly black in color.

If you see a subject matching the description, please do not contact but call the SPPD at 626-403-7297. More information to follow as it becomes available.
