The following covers South Pasadena reported crimes from February 25-March 3, 2015.

STOLEN VEHICLE

2-24-15, 8 PM to 2-25-15, 7:45 AM, 1300 block of Via Del Rey. ’99 Acura Integra.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE

3-2-15, 11:37 AM, 600 block of Stratford. Dodge Caliber. Vehicle is found abandoned on the street with minor damage. Vehicle is found to be stolen from LAPD Mission Division.

AUTO BURGLARY

• 3-1-15, 9:00 PM to 3-2-15, 6:40 AM, 600 block of Prospect. ’09, Toyota Camry. Suspect(s) gains entry into victim’s vehicle by smashing car window. LOSS: None.
• 2-17-15, 2:00 PM to 2:22 PM, 2000 block of Marengo. ’07, Chevy Suburban. Suspect(s) gains entry into victim’s vehicle through unknown means and take loss. LOSS: Car seat, skateboard and backpack.

THEFT

• 3-3-15, 1 PM, 1600 block of Oak (South Pasadena Middle School). Suspect is a student in class and takes loss from classroom. Suspect hides loss in backpack and leaves. Suspect’s parents later discover loss. LOSS: I-pod (recovered). SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Juvenile.
• 3-1-15, 4:30 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Suspects enter store and place loss inside bags. Employee sees suspects leave store without paying for loss and notifies police. LOSS: General merchandise. SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, White, 25-30 years, 508, 150,
wearing a green t-shirt and carrying multiple reusable shopping bags. S2 – Female, White, 25-30 years, 503, 160, long brown hair, wearing a white shirt and carrying multiple reusable shopping bags.
• 1-2-15 to 2-27-15, 1600 block of Amberwood. Victim responds to an online ad and sends money to suspect. Suspect does not send item to victim and does not respond to victim’s email.
• 2-26-15, 12:00 AM to 5:30 AM, 1800 block of Via Del Rey. Suspect(s) enter victim’s unlocked vehicle and takes loss. LOSS: Cash and ID card.

ASSAULTS

3-3-15, 4:17 PM, 1300 block of Huntington (Kentucky Fried Chicken). Victims enter restaurant and become unruly and disturbing customers. Suspect ask victims to be quiet and victims yell at suspect. Suspect walks and grabs victims. Officers arrive and separate involved parties. No prosecution desired by victims.

FALSE REGISTRATION

2-25-15, 1:40 PM, Orange Grove/Columbia. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and found to have false registration on vehicle. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Black, 52 years, Los Angeles.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

2-25-15, 10:42 AM, 600 block of Fair Oaks. Officers respond to a subject that is possibly drunk. Officers arrive and contact suspect who is found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, White, 45 years, transient.

CRIMINAL THREATS

3-1-15, 8:55 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Round Table Pizza). Suspect sits in restaurant for five hours without ordering food and refuses to leave. Officers arrive and convince suspect to leave. As suspect is exiting restaurant, suspect threatens victim. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 59 years, Los Angeles.

COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY

2-27-15, 5:25 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Vons). Suspect enters store and attempts to make a purchase with a $100.00 bill. Employee discovers that currency is counterfeit and suspect leaves with counterfeit bill. As suspect exits store, suspect purchases cookies from girl scouts in front of store. Suspect pays with $100.00 bill and gets cookies and change. Victim later discovers currency is counterfeit. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Black, 18 years, 506, 130, wearing a black knit cap and dark clothing.

DAYTIME LOITERING

2-27-15, 8:10 AM, 1400 block of Oakcrest. Suspect refuses to attend school and is arrested for daytime loitering. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Juvenile.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD/CHECK FRAUD

• October 2014 to 2-27-15, 800 block of Orange Grove. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s credit card account and makes an unauthorized charge.
• 1-7-15 to 2-25-15, 700 block of Fremont. Suspect(s) finds victim’s lost credit card and makes several unauthorized charges.
