South Pasadena’s Rialto Theatre May See Renovation Work Start Soon

Word has spread to South Pasadena City Hall that new ownership of the Rialto Theatre wants to start making improvements to the historic landmark “very soon,” according to South Pasadena City Manager Sergio Gonzalez.

City officials are preparing to meet with a group headed by Izek Shomof to discuss major renovation efforts at the theater, which has been closed to the public for more than four years due to fire safety concerns.
