Following its official announcement on November 12 that South Pasadena was selected to participate in the Special Olympics World Games Host Town program from July 21 – 24, 2015, the Local Organizing Committee got busy. Plans are shaping up for a wonderful, all-inclusive, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for South Pasadena to host 100 athletes and coaches who will participate in the World Games later that week throughout Los Angeles (July 25 – August 2, 2015).

A Kick-Off Reception will be held at the home of Mary and Bill Urquhart on Wednesday, January 28 from 7-9 p.m. Guests will hear from Special Olympic athletes and World Games and South Pasadena leadership, and will have the opportunity to learn first-hand how they and their families and friends can become involved with Host Town.
