The South Pasadena Police Department (SPPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for a series of early morning restaurant burglaries in the city of South Pasadena.

The latest occurred yesterday morning at the Barkley Restaurant, 1400 Huntington Dr. at about 5:40 am. The suspect, described as a male African-American in his 30’s with a goatee and short cropped hair wearing light colored sweat pants and a pull-over sweat jacket, forced entry into the location by prying open a rear door to the restaurant. Once inside, the suspect searched the office area, but left without taking any items.

The still photos attached to this message are screen grabs from surveillance video recovered from the restaurant. The video of this incident showing the suspect burglarizing the restaurant office is posted on the SPPD YouTube channel and can be found at https://youtu.be/RhnATR9FbOY. The time of day in the video is off by one hour.

This burglary is the latest in a series of four restaurant burglaries in the city of South Pasadena in September that may be related due to similar suspect description(s), time of occurrence and method of entry. If you recognize the suspect depicted in the photos and/or video or have any information regarding these crimes, please contact SPPD Detectives at (626) 403-7280 or the SPPD Watch Commander at (626) 403-7265.
