Spring-Like Weather Returns

Sunny The beginning of the week will be just a few degrees cooler as the ridge that bisected the state becomes a little weaker, but Martin Luther King Day will still be mostly sunny, with a high near 77 and a calm wind become south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

By Tuesday, a trough moves into the Pacific Northwest and knocks the ridge down and brings back onshore flow, making it a little cloudier and cooler. On Friday, the National Weather Service says a storm is expected to bring clouds, cooler conditions and a chance of rain to the area.
Monday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 55 and a southwest wind of around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 73. A calm wind around 5 mph becomes southwest in the morning.

Tuesday night should be partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 72.

Wednesday night should be partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Thursday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 71.

Thursday night brings a chance of rain and should be mostly cloudy as a large upper low moves closer to the Pacific Northwest. Lows should be around 53.

The chance of rain increases on Friday, which should be mostly cloudy, with a high near 64, about “10 to 20 degrees below Thursday’s values,” the NWS says, and eight to 12 degrees below normal.

Friday night is expected to see some rain, and should be mostly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Saturday should be mostly sunny, with a high near 66.
