He has also been honored as the State Coach of the Year (2014), Daily News Coach of the Year (2014), and CIF Coach of the Year (2009). Over the course of seven years at the varsity level, Coach Wolfson achieved an overall record of 142-48. In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Wolfson will join the St Francis High School faculty, utilizing his degree in Media in Communications from Cal State University, Northridge.

Coach Wolfson appreciates the nature of the Capuchin Franciscan approach to education and fully understands the importance of the Franciscan virtues to the mission of St. Francis High School and the direction of the basketball program. His commitment to academics and sportsmanship has been extremely influential in producing high quality student-athletes and championship basketball teams throughout his career and he is eager to bring these characteristics to the basketball program at St. Francis. In his message to the community, Coach Wolfson noted, “I am truly honored to be the next head basketball coach at St. Francis High School. With the help of everyone in the St. Francis family, we will bring this program to a position of prominence. My staff and I will strive for nothing but excellence on and off the basketball court in order to continue St. Francis’ proud tradition. Let’s get to work!” In reaction to the new hire, Matt Luderer, St. Francis’ Athletic Director, stated, “St. Francis High School went through a rigorous and extensive process in the search of a new head basketball coach. We were blessed to have several highly qualified gentlemen apply for the position. In the end, we feel we found a person in Coach Wolfson that fits the St. Francis culture and brings great energy and passion to the position. We are excited about the future of Golden Knight basketball!”
