Stacey Hoppe, a Warner Bros. executive and Hillsides board member, has been named Chair of Hillsides’ Annual Gala for 2020, which will have a theme of “The Roaring 2020s.”

Hillsides, a Southern California foster care and mental health charity, has named Stacey Hoppe, a Warner Bros. executive and Hillsides board member, as Chair of its Annual Gala for 2020. Hoppe, who has served on the agency’s board since 2016, also announced the selection of The Roaring 2020s as the evening’s theme.

“I am incredibly honored to be the chair for Hillsides’ Annual Gala,” said Hoppe, who serves as Vice President, Corporate Responsibility for Warner Bros. “The 1920s was an era defined by optimism, hope and infinite possibilities. A century later, Hillsides is on the cusp of a similar transformative period with a renovated main campus and the new Petersen Student Center, as well as continuing to expand services throughout Southern California that impact children and families who have experienced trauma and loss.”

The Chair’s vision for the evening is to transport gala attendees to the time of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, offering the best of a decade that embodied the beginning of modern America and the kind of fun that the Jazz Age came to define. It was truly a golden age for entertainment and personalities, many who became legendary through the myth-makers of newspapers and radio.

In addition to its financial impact, Hoppe envisions a gala where a new group of supporters will have the opportunity to be introduced to Hillsides’ mission and service to the community that began in 1913.

“Having been adopted into a loving home at a very young age, I know firsthand how critical Hillsides’ work is,” said Hoppe, who also offers her time to the Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program, a joint venture between The Hollywood Reporter and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater LA. “It is why I am dedicated to helping young people, both as a professional and as a volunteer; and it is why I am so moved by the impact that Hillsides makes in the lives of vulnerable children, youth and families each day.”

The Hillsides Annual Gala, the largest fundraiser of the year, will be held on Saturday, February 29, at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. The funds raised will support Hillsides’ five core programs: a residential treatment program for children in foster care; a program for youth transitioning from foster care; Hillsides Education Center, a nonpublic school for students with academic and/or behavioral issues; family resource centers offering mental health services; and a foster care and adoption program. The charity serves more than 17,000 children and families throughout Southern California.

Tickets for The Roaring 2020s are $300. There are many opportunities for organizations and individuals to sponsor the event or donate auction packages. To learn more about different levels of support and the benefit of contributing to the gala, please contact Bernie Gore, Hillsides special events manager at (323) 543-2800, ext. 12253 or bgore@hillsides.org.
