The Eatery on Allen, one of Chef Claud Beltran’s many projects, is getting a makeover this March. The Eatery was known for their eclectic menus which changed monthly to feature different seasonal ingredients and world influences.

After doing 52 menus with themes ranging from Mad Men to German cuisine, The Eatery will transform into Tap + Kitchen, a world brasserie restaurant with an impressive beer list.

Chef Claud explained that it “was just time for a change” and that the new restaurant will feature seasonal menus (rather than weekly menus) plus daily specials. Expect mussels frites, queso fundido and tacos.

The beer menu will include four local taps, two imported taps and a selection of over thirty beers by the bottle. Breweries will include El Segundo, Craftsman and Eagle Rock Brewery.

Tap + Kitchen will keep The Eatery’s iconic chandelier but get a new coat of paint and additional bar seating.

Chef Claud has over 25 years of industry experience and is known for three other ventures in Pasadena. Bacchus Kitchen has an expensive wine list and live music; Claud & Co is the versatile catering company which inspired The Eatery and Perry’s is a new, Cal-Asian fusion restaurant in the Dusit2 Hotel Constance.

Tap + Kitchen will soft open the second week of March at 488 Allen Avenue. Stay tuned for more details.
