The 15th Pasadena Bead and Design Show is just around the corner –January 15-18, 2015 –at the Hilton Pasadena. In a few short years Bead and Design has revived the hand-made traditions of beadmaking and contemporary design.

Pasadena Bead and Design Show gives buyers the option of buying hand-crafted goods from the finest local and international artists, artisans, designers, and trades people. Each exhibitor is chosen by juried application and the list includes beadmakers who keep the hand-made traditions, passed down for generations.

Both wholesale and retail buyers come from around the country to purchase one-of-a-kind products that are offered exclusively by the artisans themselves. Products like hand-dyed velvets, lampworked beads, handsewn clothing, original accessories, hand-crafted textiles, antiquities and vintage items, kiln-fired clay beads, designer jewelry, and handcut gemstones.

The show also offers quality bead and jewelry making supplies, craftwork resources, and hard-to-find designer components like glass clay and metal clay, fine gemstone beads, hand-made clasps, brass stampings and other findings, Regaliz leather, unusual beadmaking and other artisanal resources.

The traditional hand-craft trades of beadmaking and contemporary design are intricately linked in the history of design, therefore, along with 300 artisan booths and galleries, Pasadena Bead and Design also offers merchant displays with original, ethnographic products such as hand-dyed silk ribbons, beaded trims, vintage beads & buttons, antique beads, sacred textiles, and tribal arts.
Attendees may want to roll up their sleeves and take part in workshops on a range of artisan subjects such as polymer clay, beadmaking, riveting, art clay silver, resin jewelry, beadwork, metal and wire work, kumihimo, talismans jewelry, soldering, and enameling.

Along with a first class exhibitor list, workshops and elegant displays, the show will continue its long commitment to good selections and great pricing.

Open to the public, admission is $10. The workshops fill quickly, and early reservation recommended. Hours: Thursday-Sunday, January 15 –18, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.
