The Angeles Chorale is pleased to welcome Laura Mason as their new Executive Director. Mason has been a part of the Angeles Chorale for the past three years as their Operations Coordinator, where she has been a crucial part of the Chorale’s growth and success. Prior to joining the Angeles Chorale team, Mason spent over 10 years in the non-profit sector, specifically within the arts community, most recently working with Cabrillo Music Theatre, where she managed daily operations, marketing and community outreach programs.

Mason said she is thrilled to step into her new role as Executive Director, and looks forward to contributing to the Chorale’s success. Says Mason “The Angeles Chorale is a truly unique and incredible organization that I’ve loved to support each day for the past three years. I look forward to using what I’ve learned to propel the Chorale to the next level. With so many talented and passionate volunteer singers, I’m confident we can work together to further our mission, and share the joy of choral music with the greater Los Angeles community.” Mason is a long time advocate of the arts. With a duel degree in Theatre Arts and Communications with an emphasis in advertising and public relations, she has been committed to helping grassroots arts organizations, as well as educating and engaging local youth in the arts for over 15 years. As an artist in her own right, Mason has a rich background in theater production, marketing, and in the support and coaching of young artists and performers. As a past singer with international performing experience, Mason brings a wealth of personal knowledge to the choral art. “Being a part of a choir shaped who I am, and I feel lucky to now contribute to the Angeles Chorale, a truly dynamic and diverse group of singers.”

Says Artistic Director John Sutton, “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with someone like Laura who has so much experience and love for the arts. Her track record, personal commitment to excellence, and advocacy, brings to the Chorale proven leadership and authentic commitment that will enable the Chorale to move forward in our mission to bring great chorale experiences to L.A. singers and audiences.

The Board of Directors is delighted that Mason will be serving as Executive Director, says Board Chair, Amie Medley: “Laura has been such an important part of the Angeles Chorale family since she joined us in 2015. As Operations Coordinator, she has been critical to carrying out the Chorale’s mission over the past few years. Her passion and enthusiasm for the organization and for the arts is contagious and we look forward to working with her in this new role.”
