The Board of Directors of the ANCA Pasadena Announce Their 2015 Executive Committee

Vahe Majarian Elected as the Organization’s New Chairman

During its meeting on Thursday evening, August 27th, 2015, the Board of Directors of the Armenian National Committee of America – Pasadena (ANCA Pasadena), met, elected and is announces its 2015 Executive Committee Members of the Board. Effective immediately, this newly elected ‘Tivan’ or Executive Committee, will serve as the core leadership of the ANCA Pasadena in the coming year and consists of the ANCA Pasadena’s new Chairman Vahe Majarian, its Secretary Boghos Patatian and Treasurer Krikor (Greg) Abajian.

In his remarks following the election, the new/incoming Chairman of the ANCA Pasadena, Vahe Majarian stated “this is a tremendous honor that has been bestowed and entrusted upon me and my fellow activists on the Executive Committee. The ANCA Pasadena has a long and proud history of service to both the Armenian-American Community of Pasadena and to the citizenry and leadership of this City” stated Majarian. “An opportunity to serve this organization, in this capacity, I consider to be both my great honor and privilege. On behalf of our Executive Committee, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to the Board of Directors for their votes of confidence and support and extend my sincerest appreciation and respects to our outgoing Executive Committee, who lead by our esteemed former Chairwoman Shoghig Yepremian and our outgoing Secretary Donig Donabedian, worked tirelessly during the past 4 years to propel our organization forward to new and unprecedented heights. It is my hope to build on their accomplishments and lead this organization to even greater successes.

In her comments, the former Chairwoman of the ANCA Pasadena, Shoghig Yepremian congratulated the newly elected Executive Board of Directors and wished them success on all of their future endeavors. “After 4 years of relentless service to our community, we welcome and are pleased that such a qualified and capable group of activist leaders have emerged to carry on and complete the monumental work which we initiated. We extend our unwavering support to and look forward to working closely with Chairman Majarian and his team to continue to advocate for our thriving Armenian-American community here in our beloved City of Pasadena and to serve as catalysts to make this city even greater than it already is” shared Yepremian.

The Armenian National Committee of America – Pasadena Chapter is the oldest, largest, and most influential Armenian-American grassroots organization of its kind within the City of Pasadena. Founded in 1982, the Pasadena ANCA advocates for the social, economic, cultural, and political rights of the city’s thriving Armenian-American community and promotes increased civic service and participation at the grassroots and public policy levels.
