You could hear the festivity of the fall Pasadena Preschool Fair (PPF), held on October 5, 2019 at St. Andrew Catholic School, a block away. Well over 800 participants took part in this much anticipated tradition of the San Gabriel Valley area. The outdoor open space of the site was filled with dozens of vendors as well as a train, balloon artist, face painter, and water splashing fun. There was something to do everywhere you turned. Though the activities and vendors proved to be inviting and family friendly, it was what was inside the location that drew the hundreds of guests. The indoor gymnasium was jammed packed with over 40 early education providers (preschools) and families.

Organized by Priscilla Hernandez, the Pasadena Preschool Fair’s mission was met and concluded with hundred of happy satisfied parents and families. “This is Great…” was a common phrase that resonated from various participants at the fair. Families in search of preschools were provided an opportunity to learn about the spectrum of options available to them. A wide range from traditional, co-ops, Montessori schools, religious and public preschools were representative, from not just Pasadena but the entire San Gabriel Valley – La Canada, Monrovia, Arcadia, San Marino and Sierra Madre were at hand. ” Identifying the perfect fit for your child can be very stressful given the importance of early education. It is every parent’s desire to see their child happy, healthy and developing. Education is a BIG PART of that road. Believe me, I know. We (PPF) hope to serve as a resource to them in providing early education options and awareness”, Hernandez stated.

Mission accomplished. Not only were the options available but the entire day proved to be fun and enjoyable for the whole family. Vice Mayor Tyron Hampton and representatives from Assembly Member Holder were on hand to support the day. The next Pasadena Preschool Fair will be held in March.

The fair is brought to you by the Pasadena PreSchool Fair. This is the first FALL Fair, the second one this calendar year.
