The Langham Hotel is set to begin a year of instructive and entertaining Children’s Tea events.

On Sunday, March 3rd, junior performers from the famed Magic Castle will perform magic tricks in the Lobby Lounge, as children and parents sip tea from vaunted Wedgwood.

The setting of the luxurious Lobby Lounge, the elegant simplicity of a Tea hour, the alluring enchantment of magic. Might this setting evoke feelings of nostalgia for a magical world of flying brooms and wizardry?

The performers will draw from their knowledge of the Dark Arts to perform card, rope, and sleight-of-hand tricks.

Attendees can select from an assortment of sandwiches, whimsical desserts, as well as pink lemonade, milk, and a variety of fruit-infused, caffeine-free teas.

Imagine Teas rotates every quarter with Children’s Etiquette Teas, the educational half of the Langham’s tea curriculum.

The first Etiquette Tea event occurs on Sunday, March 31st, and likewise occurs quarterly. Junior guests will enjoy learning from an interactive booklet as they become familiarized with proper tea party dining etiquette and, perhaps most importantly, the “five magic words.”

Parents who wish to educate their children in the finer things of life might consider this course, which is led by Nancy Hoogenboom, the founder and CEO of Daily Etiquette, Southern California School of Etiquette & Protocol.

The Langham Huntington’s tea events continue a legacy that started in 1865 at Langham’s first hotel in London, which was Europe’s first luxury hotel to serve afternoon tea, according to the Langham’s website.

In honor of this tradition, every Langham Hotel serves afternoon tea on a daily basis.

With the Langham’s tea events, you’ll bestow an appreciation for time-honored modes of entertainment and leisure upon your child.

The Imagine Teas event occurring this Sunday has two seatings, one at 10 a.m. and the other at 1:30 p.m. The event lasts approximately an hour and a half.
