Kerrin Pittman of South Pasadena and Peggy Yingling of San Marino, Chairmen of the 2013 San Marino Celebrity Series, have announced a dynamic lineup for the 45th season of the San Marino Celebrity Series.
On Sunday, February 10, 2013, favorite professor, Dr. Elliot Engel, returns for his 20th season. He will present “The Vanderbilts – All of Them.” He will trace in detail the amazing history of this famous American family with its triumphs and tragedies. Dr. Engel, scholar, author, and playwright, delights his audiences as he entertains and educates using anecdotes, humor and intriguing insight.
The Celebrity Series continues with the second event on Sunday, March 10, “From Classical to Jazz and All Points In-Between” featuring the glorious sounds of the Los Angeles Baritones. The ensemble has performed for audiences in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. Local star, Cedric Berry, headlines the talented trio. He has performed with the California Philharmonic and the LA Opera. His powerful voice, filled with warmth and emotion, will thrill all.
The final program will be a springtime luncheon and fashion show on Wednesday, April 17, at the San Gabriel Country Club. “Finery for the Modern Woman” will be presented by deVelle of San Marino. Glamorous fashions, styles for all ages, and designer accessories will be featured by deVelle, a popular boutique.

The San Marino Celebrity Series is the primary fundraiser of the San Mario Guild. According to event chairs Kerrin Pittman and Peggy Yingling, proceeds will purchase special equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Maternity Unit of the Huntington Hospital.
