Saturday, April 8 - Pasadena Festival of Women Authors
Spend the day with Seven Acclaimed Women Novelists! Learn about the authors’ personal journeys. Enjoy lunch and talking with other readers. Shop for books and have them signed. The Pasadena Festival of Women Authors will feature Yaa Gyasi, whose novel, Homegoing, was one of the most talked-about books of 2016; Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney, author of the debut sensation, The Nest; and Amy Stewart, author of Lady Cop Makes Trouble, the second in her hit historical series, as well as four other outstanding authors.
Saturday, April 8 - 25th Angel Gala, Bright Lights, Big City
The 25th Angel Gala, Bright Lights, Big City, will be held at the beautiful and exclusive City Club Downtown, Los Angeles. Special guests include Fritz Coleman, Dallas Raines, Wendy Burch, Angie Everhart, Paul Rusnak, and more. The evening will include silent auction, raffle, live auction, dinner and fabulous entertainment. The evening promises once again to be a tribute to individuals and companies who have shown their outstandng support of CSCP. Cancer Support Community Pasadena is honored to recognize this year’s Angel Award recipients as Elizabeth Rusnak Arizmendi and the Rusnak Auto Group for their generous contributions and support of CSCP.
Sunday, April 9 - An Afternoon Tasting Spanish Wines and Tapas
Wine will be flowing at the Los Altos Auxiliary’s annual wine tasting fundraiser at The Thursday Club in La Canada. The event will feature Spanish wines and tasty tapas while supporting Los Altos via a silent auction, giving tree, wine pull and sales of beautiful floral arrangements. This year the silent auction will be held online. The delicious bites will be provided by ETC Gourmet. The event which will be held at The Thursday Club in La Canada, will raise funds for Hathaway-Sycamores’ El Nido residential campus.
