Police are looking for three men who had robbed a Verizon Go Wireless Store Monday night and made away with about 40 cellular phones after allegedly threatening to harm the store clerk and a customer.

The suspects, according to police, went into the store located in the 3800 block of East Foothill Blvd. in Pasadena at about 7:45 p.m. and ordered a store clerk and a customer to the ground, as one of the suspects simulated a handgun under his clothing.

“The suspects forced the clerk to open a secure area of the store from which approximately 40 cellular telephones were stolen,” Lt. Mark Goodman said. “The suspects fled on foot subsequent to the robbery. Ground personnel were assisted in the search for the suspects by the police helicopter. The suspects were not immediately located.”

Goodman said the store clerk and the customer were not injured in the incident. They told police the suspects were either African American or Hispanic men, all of medium build and wearing dark clothing, sunglasses and bandanas covering their faces. One was about five foot nine inches tall and the two others were about five foot seven inches.

The store clerk is a 23-year-old male Baldwin Park resident.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and subsequently arresting the suspects. Anyone with information about them and the robbery is advised to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241.
