Three St. Monica Academy Seniors Sign to Play College Sports

On Wednesday, May 30 three St. Monica Academy seniors – Beau Barry, Sam Gutierrez, and Peter Ford – signed National Letters of Intent to play collegiate sports. Beau will be playing baseball for Hendrix College (Arkansas), and both Sam and Peter will be playing basketball for Holy Cross (Indiana).

Beau was League MVP in 2018 and 1st team all league catcher, pitcher, and 3rd baseman in 2017 and 2016. He captained SMA to its 6th consecutive undefeated league championship and playoff appearance.

Sam was voted to the 2nd team all league and was an integral starter on SMA’s 2018 basketball team that reached both the Div. 5A semi-final and the State tournament.

Peter Ford captained SMA’s historic basketball team, won the International League MVP, and was selected as a CIF-SS All Star.
