The sandwich chain launched the academic scholarship program to help support team members who are continuing their education while working at Togo’s. The awards were based on employee essays about their future goals and ambitions.
Recipients of the Togo’s Education Fund scholarship included Melody Brown, a Sacramento-area student at both Sierra College and Epic Bible College majoring in ministerial studies; Esmeralda Mendez, a student majoring in engineering at San Jose State University; and Bianca Perez, a business major at Pasadena City College. All three students have been employees of Togo’s for more than two years.
