A collision near the corner of East California Blvd. at South Oakland Avenue at 5:58 p.m. Monday produced this gusher when a car sheared a fire hydrant.
Lt. Marie Sell of the Pasadena Police Dept. said two cars were involved. One vehicle struck the hydrant on the southeast corner of California.
No injuries were reported.
Pasadena firefighters turned off the water flow. Pasadena Public Works crews repaired the broken hydrant, officials said.
