Two Men, Two Women Lead Police on Pursuit Before Capture

Four suspects led Pasadena police on a three minute high-speed pursuit Tuesday night which ended when the two men and two women bailed out of the car and ran.

Police set up a containment area, said Lieutenant Pete Hettema, and captured all four.

Shortly thereafter, police learned the car had been stolen earlier in San Bernardino County.

Hettema said the traffic stop was initiated for vehicle code violations near Corson Street at Los Robles Avenue. The car, a 2006 silver BMW, bore paper license plates, similar to the description of the suspect vehicles in a rash of recent residential burglaries.

As the officer approached the car during the stop, it sped off.

The pursuit ended in the 200 block of Madison Avenue when the suspects ran. With the help of a police helicopter, officers located all the suspects.

Hettema said the four arrested were Luis Leon, 30, of Pasadena; Louis Ochoa, 32, of Carson; Arranda Lopez, 31, of Long Beach; and Valerie Reyes, 36, listed as a transient.
