Two shooting incidents were reported to the Pasadena Police Department early Sunday morning.

Police said that other than a vehicle struck by bullets, no other damage was found or reported. Officers could not locate any victims, suspects, or witnesses in either incident.

A day earlier, on Saturday morning, witnesses told Pasadena Now a back-and-forth gun battle erupted on Kenneth Way near Stanton Street. Police did detain three people in a bullet-riddled car fleeing the scene, but none was injured and police found no weapons in the vehicle. Two were arrested for outstanding warrants.

Sunday morning’s first incident, according to Lt. John Mercado, was reported by a number of callers at about 12:30 a.m.

“We had several calls of shots fired in the 1600 block of North Garfield,” Mercado said. “When officers arrived, they found evidence of shots having been fired however they were unable to locate victims, suspects, witnesses or anything that had been struck by a bullet.”

At about 3:10 a.m., another shooting was reported in the 100 block of West Montana Street and officers responded to the scene.

Officers “found evidence of a shooting and a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire,” Mercado said. “However, they were unable to find any witnesses to the shooting, any victims, nor any suspects.”

Police are still investigating both incidents.

Anyone with information about the incidents or the persons involved is asked to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241.
