Union Bank today announced that Vahagn Kopalyan has joined its Pasadena branch as Priority Banking relationship manager.

In this position, Kopalyan will provide one-on-one consultation and specialized financial services to affluent individuals, families and small business owners.  He will report to Priority Banking Manager Joanna Gallo.

“We are thrilled to have Vahagn bring his experience and knowledge of the industry to the Priority Banking unit as we provide customized banking solutions to our existing and new clients in the greater Los Angeles area,” said Executive Vice President and Regional Executive Leticia Aguilar.

“He has a strong commitment to providing personalized service and helping customers find solutions that help them achieve their financial goals. Vahagn’s banking expertise will be invaluable as we continue to expand our Priority Banking client base.”

Union Bank began offering Priority Banking to its customers in 1975. The number of clients using the program has grown steadily in recent years, and the bank continues to expand the program by opening more units throughout California.

Priority Banking Relationship Managers are specially trained to service the bank’s clients who maintain a minimum of $100,000 on deposit in any combination of personal and business banking, investment, or retirement accounts.  Priority Banking Relationship Managers also help small business owners integrate their personal and business finances into a comprehensive plan to maximize returns, as well as assist them with such issues as succession planning.

Prior to joining Union Bank, Kopalyan served as a business banking specialist for Wells Fargo Bank as well as a real estate agent for Prudential Americana, where he was responsible for purchasing residential multi-unit properties for investors and business owners.  Kopalyan studied at the University of Southern California.
