Pasadena police said Monday they will be conducting a Traffic Enforcement program on Friday, December 6 at various places throughout Pasadena.

Officers will be looking for violations including, but not limited to, primary collision factors involving speed, red signals, and right of way violations.

Offending motorists will be cited and/or educated on the safety concerns associated with the violation.

“Roadway safety is a top priority in our city,” said Traffic Section Lieutenant Max Dahlstein.

“Partnering with OTS [California Office of Traffic Safety] to enhance traffic safety programs helps us ensure we all arrive home safely.”

The Pasadena Police Department’s ultimate goal is to enforce and educate the driving public while at the same time reducing serious injuries and fatal collisions, Dahlstein said.

Funding for these programs is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
