Vice Mayor Tyron “Santa” Hampton Celebrates Holidays at La Pintoresca Teen Center with Miracle on 1st Street
On December 20 the La Pintoresca Teen Center celebrated Christmas activities this year with the help of Miracle on 1st Street and Pasadena Vice Mayor Tyron Hampton.
The festivities began with Santa aka Vice Mayor Hampton showing up in a bright red Santa suit before an excited crowd with announcements of gifts and giveaways to come.
The Vice Mayor acknowledged the Teen Center’s good work, the generosity of Big 5 Sporting Good, Priscilla Hernandez from the Miracle on 1st Street and the Rose Parade Committee.
The teens were called up to receive their gift cards and their siblings were presented with toys of their choice.
The Vice Mayor proceeded to distribute Rose Parade and Game tickets to selected families.
The teens, kids and families had a truly wonderful celebration and will be able to continue that spirit into the New Year.
The Miracle on 1st Street is a 38-year-old holiday assistance program established by Daniel L. Hernandez. What started as a small giveaway with a dozen youth has since become nationally recognized, servicing over ten thousand youth in Los Angeles County annually.
