Villa Esperanza Services Announces 28th Annual Tournament of Hope – “Be True to Your School”

Benefiting children and adults with developmental disabilities.

Villa Esperanza Services Tournament of Hope sponsored by Wells Fargo tees off on Monday, September 14 at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale. The “Be true to your school” themed event includes a helicopter golf ball drop and live and silent auction during dinner.

 

“We are looking forward to another fabulous Tournament of Hope. We are appreciative to all who support this event and continue to “Be true to Villa,” shares Kelly White, Villa’s CEO. “This tournament raises critical dollars to support Villa’s programs for children and adults with special needs.” Wells Fargo is the presenting sponsor for the 17th year. Villa is grateful to all of their current corporate sponsors including Abbot Downing, CDS Insurance Services, DJP Fund, Parsons Corporation, Pillsbury, Silk Purse Renovations, Stone Tapert and Whittier Trust for launching this year’s tournament with “true” school spirit.

 

Villa’s Tournament of Hope committee includes Co-chairs Debbie Meymarian, owner of The Body Firm, and Chuck Tapert of Stone Tapert Employee Benefits and committee members Elizabeth Barajas; Mike Erickson, CFA, Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo; Brij Lal and Nikhil Lal, Wrapper, USA; Paul Marks, Neufeld Marks & Gralnek; Lisa Sloan; Corey Waite, Colliers International; and William S. Waller, Esq., Pillsbury.

 

The tournament will feature a variety of contests and prizes, including a chance to win a cash prize with the Helicopter Golf Ball Drop. The winner of the Ball Drop receives $2,000! Numbered golf balls will be randomly placed into buckets and dropped from a helicopter onto the golf course with one designated winning hole. The ball landing in or closest to the hole is the winner. Individual balls cost $20, or purchase 10 balls for $100. To purchase a ball, visit www.VillaEsperanzaServices.org. All online ball purchases must be made by Friday, September 11, by 12 noon (PST). Additional balls will be available for purchase Monday, September 14, at the Tournament of Hope registration table.
