Weather Line Up: Breezy Saturday, Sunny Sunday, Rainy Monday

Forecasters predict a windy start to the weekend throughout the Southland, with a high of 77 in Pasadena and clear bright skies.

A “wind event” could be evident at times locally, with powerful gusts expected in the mountains, some of the valleys, and metropolitan Los Angeles, the National Weather Service said.

Pasadenans should expect a milder, breezy day, with a northeast wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Tonight is expected to be clear, with a low around 53.

Forecasters say Sunday will still have mild winds, with a high near 82 and wind gusts as high as 25 mph. Sunday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 55 and winds dying to 5 mph.

Monday everything will change, bring with it a 30 percent chance of showers after 10 a.m. Regardless the day should be partly sunny, with a high near 70. The chance of rain will increase slightly Monday night, with a low around 54.
