After Monday’s blistering heat, Pasadena is slated to cool down on a daily basis until a weekend of temperatures in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service’s forecast.

True, Tuesday will be hot — 98 degrees with winds blowing 5 miles per hour from the southwest — but still that marks a five degree drop from Monday, a trend that will carry over to the rest of the week as Wednesday and Thursday will both be “only” 91 degrees.

Friday sees temperatures dip a little to 87 degrees before settling on a comfortable 83 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday, according to the forecast.

Nighttime throughout the week will be below 70 degrees across the board, with slight cloud cover appearing Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

The forecast for the week is as follows:

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98. East wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the morning.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 60.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 83.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 83.
