Week Could Start Wet as Cold Front Sweeps Towards Pasadena

The National Weather Service is predicting a 50 percent rain chance for Pasadena Monday morning, as two weak cold fronts move across the area, bringing the first rain of the season to many areas of southwestern California.

Although rainfall amounts may be mostly light, roadways are still likely to be slick for the Monday morning rush hour.

After morning rain, Monday will be partly sunny as the frontal systems exit the region. Highs will be near 74 with a southwest wind blowing in at around five miles per hour.

Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 54. The southwest wind will become calm in the evening.

Tuesday is going to be mostly sunny, with a high near 82 and a north wind of  about five mph. Tuesday night will be clear, with a low around 58.

By Wednesday, the trough of low pressure aloft is expected to move east and an upper ridge from the west will replace it and build in, bringing a warmer air mass. Wednesday will be sunny, with a high near 88.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 61.

Thursday – Sunny, with a high near 91. Breezy.

Thursday Night – Clear, with a low around 62.

Friday – Sunny, with a high near 90.

Friday Night – Clear, with a low around 62.

Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 90.
