Win a “Day With a Cop” As Part of Raffle, Get to Know Local Officers Better

The Pasadena Police Officers Association is giving people an opportunity to really get to know what police officers are like and what they do outside of work, in its first ever annual “Day With A Cop” raffle draw — where the winner gets to spend a day with two of the Association’s choice members.

The association is now selling tickets at $20 each for the “Day With A Cop” raffle online, through their website, www.pasadenapoa.com. Tickets are tax deductible and are for the benefit of the Pasadena Police Officers Association Scholarship Fund and the Pasadena Police Activities League.

The winner can choose to spend the “Day With A Cop” with either Officer Victor Cass or Officer Shannon Reece. The raffle prize includes lunch or dinner at one of Pasadena’s premier restaurants, transportation to and from within 50 miles and a Pasadena-based excursion to be mutually agreed upon by both the Officer and the raffle winner.

Officers Cass and Reece are both veteran Pasadena Police Department officers. Cass, a Pasadena resident, has been with the department for the last 22 years. Reece is a detective who has been with the Department for 15 years, and was with LAPD before that. She lives at Huntington Beach.

Aside from community policing, the Pasadena Police Officers Association has been supporting the community for the last 36 years, providing charitable contributions and involving themselves with the community activities of the Flintridge Center, Foothill Family Services, Boys and Girls Club, the Police Activities League, Special Olympics and Ronald McDonald House.

Since 1990, the Association has also awarded over $60,000 in college scholarships from its Scholarship Awards Program.
