Woman Confronted by Male Robber in Paseo Colorado Bathroom

Pasadena police officers are searching for man who robbed a 37-year-old woman of her cellphone in an incident that began inside a restroom at the Paseo Colorado Saturday afternoon.

Pasadena Police Lt. Mark Goodman, Watch Commander, said the woman was in the restroom at the Paseo in the 300 block of East Colorado Blvd, at about 2:08 p.m. when the suspect demanded her purse.

“The victim ran out of the restroom and was followed by the suspect who picked up the purse which was left behind when she exited the restroom,” Goodman said. “The suspect was confronted by a citizen and dropped the purse but only after removing the victim’s cellphone. He fled on foot from the location.”

Goodman said responding officers searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as male, black, between 30 and 35 years old, bald and was wearing dark clothing.
