A 21-year-old Pasadena woman was stabbed multiple times during a fight with another woman across the street from La Pintoresca Park reported to police at 5:37 p.m. Monday evening.

Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema said the victim is expected to survive, even though she was seriously injured.

The two women, who apparently had a longstanding feud, fought on a cemented area at the north end of the La Pintoresca Drive cul-de-sac, according to police reports.

The victim reportedly pulled out a folding knife but dropped it during the confrontation. The suspect is thought to have grabbed the knife and then stabbed the victim, authorities believe.

The suspect fled but was later arrested by police.

She has been identified by authorities as Alexis Vernique Jackson, 27, of Azusa. Jackson was also injured in the altercation and require temporary hospitalization, police said.

Jackson was reported in Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Dept. online booking records as being held at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood in lieu of a $2 million bond.
