After settling for a 1-1 tie at Moorpark College on September 5, the Pasadena City College women’s soccer team remains winless on its season-opening road trip. The Lancers are 0-2-2 overall. PCC has two more matches left on its 6-game travel swing. Next up is a Friday, Sept. 12 match at Irvine Valley College.

Against Moorpark, the Lancers held a 1-0 lead for 66 minutes before the Raiders tied it with five minutes left on a goal by Sarah McHale. A corner kick was redirected out by PCC only to have McHale control the loose ball and boot in a shot from the top of the 18-yard goalie box.

PCC took a 1-0 lead when forward Sara Oceguera lifted a crossing attempt off the crossbar and teammate Amy Hemelians tapped in a short rebound for the goal.

Ashley Hermosillo made six saves as PCC’s starting goalie.
