Altadena Shooting Leaves 19-Year-Old Pasadenan Dead, Second Victim Survives

A shooter targeted a young man and a boy in Altadena on Monday afternoon, killing a 19-year-old Pasadenan and seriously wounding the 17-year-old boy, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies.
In a statement, the Department said the shooting occurred at 4:39 p.m. in  the 2100 block of Santa Anita Avenue.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the as-yet unidentified 19-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. He was not identified.

The second victim was shot in the lower extremities and transported to the local hospital in an unknown condition.

The suspect was seen shooting at the victims from inside a vehicle. The vehicle description is unknown and he was last seen driving Southbound on Santa Anita Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing, and there is no additional information available at this time.
