Public tours are offered on the last Friday of every month at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

The Rose Bowl Stadium opens its gates to the public for guided tours. Guests can delight in this unforgettable opportunity, as you have the chance to walk through a National Historic Landmark where countless moments in history have been made. Your tour guide will lead you through behind the scenes locations at the stadium, including the classic stadium seating, original 1922 locker room, the new Terry Donahue Pavilion, the Loge Lounge, the Working Press Box and more. Throughout the tour, you will learn about the iconic history that has taken place here at the Rose Bowl Stadium, from the Four Horsemen of Notre Dame who played here in 1925 to Brandi Chastain’s game-winning kick in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final. Tours will not only be an outdoor excursion, but a historical learning experience as well. Stop and tour the roses of the iconic stadium that has rightfully earned its title as America’s Stadium.

View a variety of fruit, seeds, bark, grasses, and of course, breathtaking flowers, being applied to the floats by the float builders and volunteers.  Advanced tickets are available for three public viewing locations. Times are allocated for general public viewing, including tour operators. Order your tickets through Sharp Seating.  Considerable waiting periods should be expected.

Community members and visitors are needed each year to decorate floats for the Rose Parade. Walk-ins are welcome at most locations, though work is not guaranteed.  It is recommended to pre-register by visiting the float builders websites are calling directly. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old to participate and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Opportunities are on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups must phone ahead to see if arrangements are possible.  In most cases, a 4 hour to 8 hour volunteer commitment is required.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
Tournament of Roses Sip & Savor is a new end of the year celebration for the entire family to enjoy. Chefs and restaurants from Pasadena and Los Angeles will be featured at the festival with an array of savory menu items. Guests who are 21 years and older can wash down the delicious food with fine wines and craft beer. There will also be exciting line-up of entertainment and up-close viewing of Rose Parade float decorating.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the event or online. Ticket purchase includes admission into the Tournament of Roses Float Decorating Place at the Rosemont Pavilion only during specific operating hours.

Beautiful Horses
Equestfest will take place on Saturday, December 29, 2018. Watch beautiful horses and talented riders perform drills and dances and demonstrate trick riding and roping. Attendees can also stroll through the stables, talk to riders and learn about the various equipment that the riders use. Also, learn about many different breeds of horses while enjoying the vendor court, displays, great music, food and drinks.

Free Family Festival
Live on Green is a three-day family festival that takes place at the Pasadena Convention Center December 29, 2018 through December 31, 2018. Live on Green helps to kick off the city’s New Year’s Day events for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Game.

Special Guest
Phillip Phillips who made a name for himself after winning the eleventh season of American Idol will be performing live at The Paseo on December 29, 2018. Phillips has toured with John Mayer, shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen at the Rock in Rio festival, and supported the Goo Goo Dolls’ summer 2017 national summer tour. His new album Collateral on Interscope Records was released early 2018.

Bandfest Presented by REMO is a sneak peak of the 2019 Rose Parade bands. Watch as they perform their award-winning field shows that led to their selection. Three shows over two days give everyone a chance to see these talented musicians, dancers and auxiliary performers in action before they complete their 5 1/2 mile march down Colorado Boulevard.

A Celebration
The Rose Bowl Bash is a celebration of college football that will take place at The Bloc Plaza in Los Angeles. The Rose Bowl Bash is free to the public. Visitors can expect family-friendly interactive games, a Rose Bowl Game merchandise booth, photo activities, and a beer garden to watch ESPN coverage. There will also be entertainment including a DJ booth and potential participation from team bands and cheer squads. Food trucks and other local merchants will also be available to visitors.

The 130th Rose Parade presented by Honda begins at 8 AM on January 1, 2019, and will feature floral floats, spirited marching bands and high-stepping equestrian units along the 5 1/2 mile route down Colorado Blvd. Experience—in person—the magic of New Year’s Day in an unrivaled celebration, exclusive to the streets of Pasadena!

Tournament of Roses
In the days leading up to the new year, 700,000 people from all over the world converge onto Pasadena to witness the Tournament of Roses, and millions of others watch from all over the world because it is covered by several television networks. While the Tournament of Roses is made up of several events, the two most famous events are the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game.

Rose Parade
The Rose Parade, a 130 year old tradition brings residents and visitors together on New Year’s Day (unless it falls on a Sunday) to watch grand floats covered in flowers, massive marching bands that can exceed 300 members, and equestrian units like the Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Clydesdales.

Reserved grandstand seating for the Rose Parade is available for purchase through Sharp Seating Company, the Official Grandstand Seating Provider, from February 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018. Every person must have a ticket to sit in the reserved grandstands. The only exception is for children two years of age or younger who have the option of sitting on an adult’s lap, otherwise, they must also have a ticket. The Oldest of Bowls
The Rose Bowl Game began in 1902, now in its 105th year, the Rose Bowl Game will take place on Tuesday, January 1, 2018 at the Rose Bowl Stadium. The Rose Bowl Game immediately follows the Rose Parade, the two events occur each New Year in Pasadena, California as part of the Tournament of Roses. Beautiful Masterpieces
Post Parade is a great way to view the floats up close following the Rose Parade and see the workmanship that went into each entry. These beautiful masterpieces will be parked along Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards spanning over two miles. Tournament volunteers “white suiters” will be on hand with helpful information about the float process.
